Samantha Kannan is an American from a small town south of Chicago in the US. Despite growing up in a small rural town, she has been to India nine times, seen over 1000 Indian films in five languages, studied both Tamil and Hindi, and her husband fares from Tamil Nadu.
She spends most of her time with her husband and puppy, Jimikki. She enjoys writing, studying Tamil, reading, watching movies, and eating dosa.
In October 2019, she launched Unga English for free conversational English practice.
A New Journey (about her time teaching in a village in Kerala) came out July 1, 2020.
A New Journey 2 (about their wedding in Tamil Nadu) released Tamil New Year 2021.
